In a partnership between Argos and its customers, we are more than just a supplier of packaging and protective materials. We want to get to know our customers, work closely with each other and ensure that we are a strong asset. This is the only way we can fully unburden our customers, allowing them to continue to focus on their core business.

Roy van den Heuvel, agri product specialist at Argos, is a contact person and sparring partner for VGK and is very pleased with the collaboration so far. “From the very first moment, I have had full confidence in this relationship. The discussions with the management of VGK and Repack/Production Supervisor Marvin immediately felt familiar and the ambitions for the future were clear and realistic. We have embarked on this adventure together and are doing everything we can to make it a success. Together with my colleagues from the commercial office, we work on good delivery reliability, we provide the best possible advice based on our knowledge and years of experience and we ensure that we make the right choices in ad hoc situations. We never say ‘NO’ but always come up with an appropriate solution. All this to ensure that VGK's supply chain can continue and that the products are ultimately delivered to the customers as agreed”.

At VGK, they stand for quality. They want to provide excellent service and work as efficiently as possible enabling them to provide the best possible service for their customers. Marvin is responsible for realising the agreements made and is also the point of contact for Roy. “In order to meet the needs of our customers, we need partners who can move along with us. We need to be able to switch gears quickly in ad hoc situations and this is only possible if we have partners who are flexible and have the same vision and drive as VGK. This allows us to continue to provide the service we promise to our customers and to keep us ahead of the competition”, said Marvin. 

Optimisation throughout the entire supply chain

Supply chain optimisation is aimed at improving the cooperation between the various parts of a chain, from production to the end product. As a packaging and protection specialist, our products are used in various parts of the chain. Our product specialists have many years of experience in optimising certain packaging processes within an organisation. "With Argos, we go beyond just supplying packaging and protective materials. We look at where we can improve, whether we can minimise material consumption or work more efficiently. We place ourselves next to the customer, go to the workfloor and look at what could simply be done differently", says Roy.

The world is changing and the demands from the market are changing with it, which means that our customers need new innovative packaging that align with this. It is then very nice if you work with a supplier who specialises in this and has a wide range at its disposal”, said Marvin.
