Argos delves into the flower and plant sleeves

22 februari 2023

Tholen - "The main reason for adding flower and plant sleeves to the product range arose from current market developments and persistent market demands", says product specialist Lars Zwinkels. "The demand for high-quality flower and plant sleeves has risen sharply and this was a clear signal for us that we had to develop further in this area. For our customers, we are a total supplier in packaging and protective materials. This lacked a complete and reliable range of flower and plant sleeves. With this addition, we are further expanding our product range and will be able to meet the wishes and needs of our customers even better."

Argos has been a wholesaler specialising in packaging and protective materials since 1998. With a diverse range, they supply and produce packaging for the various sectors; construction industry, horticulture, agri, retail, food and non-food industry. A number of products are produced in Honselersdijk, such as high-quality corner profiles, conical trays for various types of fruit and vegetables and silk paper, a material that is mainly used to protect flowers during air freight. For the other items, which mainly consist of boxes, bags, films, buckets and all possible related products, we work with regular suppliers all over the world. In combination with personalised service, customers are completely unburdened when it comes to packaging and protective materials.

The Argos flower and plant sleeves are available in standard materials CPP, BOPP and various special films. It is also possible to have sleeves produced from PCR, Post Consumer Recycled film, or plastic 'waste' derived from consumer packaging. In addition, Argos also offers an extensive range of paper sleeves.

To ensure that the sleeves match the customer-specific corporate identity, it is possible to have these developed on request. Consider, for example, the choice of various materials, qualities, sizes and printing options. In this way, Argos guarantees the retention of quality, optimal protection during transport and, of course, the best presentation.

Finally, the company is currently in full swing. In 2021, they moved to Honselersdijk. This entailed an expansion of the storage capacity and the office, which is more in line with the current staffing. The old location along the A20 highway in Maasdijk has been retained as a second distribution centre. "We are growing fast, on all fronts", says Lars. "We see demand increasing in all sectors, our product range is expanding and colleagues are added every year."
