You are responsible for customs clearance, monitoring the schedule, and ensuring that all documents are processed accurately and on time. Do you see an opportunity for improvement? You take action. Job description

  • You are responsible for the customs clearance and scheduling of containers. This includes assessing import requirements, ensuring the timely receipt of the correct documents, and preparing customs declarations;
  • You maintain contact with customs authorities and act quickly in case of shipment issues;
  • You ensure complete and accurate administration (registration of documents and supplier information);
  • You monitor a tight schedule and communicate proactively about it;
  • You are familiar with customs laws and regulations, classifications, and statistical codes, and apply them correctly;
  • You proactively contribute ideas for process improvements and cost savings within customs operations;
  • You carry out various administrative tasks in support of the logistics process.

What do we ask of you?

  • MBO+ level of education and thinking;
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Basic Customs Declarant certification is a plus;
  • Knowledge of customs legislation and import processes;
  • Experience with Portbase / the trusted chain is a plus;
  • You work accurately and maintain oversight, even under pressure;
  • You are adaptable and communicate clearly;
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
