Customer story: Amavi and Argos - A successful partnership in packaging solutions

Three and a half years ago, Priscilla and Ineke started their B2B shop in permanent make-up and micro pigmentation from a small shed. What was then a modest storage and office space in one has today grown into a successful business. Indeed, since January 2024, they have been operating from new premises, from which they drive their operations.

With a target market that consists of 90% women in the beauty industry, Amavi delivers their products worldwide, especially in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany. They ship hundreds of orders every month, with shipping packaging being an important part of their success.

From a visit to our stand at Webwinkel Vakdagen, Germandio de Marrocos and Amavi got in touch. At that time, Amavi used blank shipping packaging that it personalised itself into a true 'gift'. This packaging process was too time-consuming and needed to change to increase the optimisation and efficiency of the packaging process. 

Design and collaboration

Amavi had a clear idea of what the shipping boxes should look like. "It should feel like a present when our customers receive the Amavi box," says Ineke. The design had to be simple on the outside, but when opening the box, a surprising peach colour with a fun quote would be visible. This design conceived entirely by the Amavi team should ensure the ultimate unboxing experience for their customers. To enhance this experience, they chose to add tissue paper printed with the familiar icons of the Amavi webshop for extra recognition.

Argos turned out to be the right partner for Amavi because of its fine cooperation and thinking along with their needs. Priscilla says: "Germandio's knowledge and expertise were essential for this project. By immersing themselves in the products we sell, we arrived at the desired result." 

Results and impact

The box should also ensure an unforgettable unboxing experience with the recipient. "The feedback from our customers has been very positive. Many are impressed by the unboxing experience and share their enthusiasm on various social media channels."
