Expansion of new office and warehouse

Argos Packaging & Protection is ramping up its growth with the expansion of a new office and warehouse in Honselersdijk. Strengthening its activities within Westland is the next step in its strategy of partner in packaging and protection; personal and nearby. With a tripling of the available office space and one and a half times as much warehouse space, this will be the workplace for dozens of product specialists, sales teams, logistics and administration.  

“Our new office and warehouse, centrally located in Westland, is in line with our mission ‘show that packaging and protection can be done smarter, because every day offers new possibilities’”, says Frans van Alphen, director of Argos. "After a complete restyling of the former building of Van der Windt Verpakking, logistics will be the first to be operational in Honselersdijk. Right from the start the new warehouse has been fully equipped with huge racking for 13,000 pallet spaces, allowing us to use literally every metre efficiently. With electric forklift trucks that independently manoeuvre through the aisles, we can collect and dispatch customer-specific products on demand even faster and more safely." 

Partner in the region  

Argos is characterised by its Westland mentality. A family business with colleagues largely living in and around Westland. That is precisely why Frans thinks it is important to stay in the middle of Westland. Little travel time for our employees, so we can motivate them to take the bike and thus work together on having a vital team. But also to make a direct contribution to the objectives of our Municipality: an attractive living and working area with sufficient employment. 

The accessibility of the new office and warehouse was of course a requirement, in order to achieve even better response times. Due to the widening of the N213, we are quickly accessible for all our customers throughout the Benelux, logistics partners and our trucks.

The new building in Honselersdijk gives us more room to strengthen our cooperation. In terms of logistics, but also when it comes to physical cooperation and knowledge sharing. As such, our colleague companies Base Packaging and YouPack will be partly moving with us to Nieuweweg 10.
