Sustainable packaging for the Posigo positioning belt
12 september 2022
Posigo's positioning belt can rightly be called revolutionary. And that is not just because of its unique design; The many configuration options make this belt the most versatile positioning belt available on the market. Such a unique and special product calls for suitable packaging! In collaboration with Menno from Preston Ability, product specialist Bas Riekert</ a> developed a packaging that fully meets the wishes and needs of Preston Ability. "When designing a packaging, the customer's wishes are extremely important and we will develop a suitable packaging based on this input. In collaboration with our design studio and the customer, we look for the best possible solution for this packaging issue", says Bas.
The packaging must align with the product, the application and the organisation. Thanks to our extensive experience in the field of packaging and protective materials, our specialists can guide and advise our customers from the design process to the final commissioning of the product. As such, we ensure that the desired result is achieved and the packaging is used to its full advantage.
Sustainable packaging
For us, sustainability is no longer just a trend, but rather a given. It is a subject that is an essential part of our business and that we, as a packaging specialist, can no longer ignore when working with packaging or developing new packaging. The packaging sector has a significant impact on the environment, but as an industry, this is also where we can make the biggest change. Therefore, when it comes to packaging issues, we strive for sustainable and easily recyclable packaging that contributes to a future-proof environment. When developing the packaging for the Posigo, sustainability was the starting point. "Choosing sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging is one thing, but we also want to limit the use of raw materials and only use materials that we really need to make the packaging function optimally. For example, the interior of the box is designed for multiple sizes of positioning belts, making it multifunctional", says Bas.
Packaging not only provides protection during storage and transport. It can serve as an information carrier and thus provide the end user with all the necessary product information, but it can also serve as a means of presentation. The packaging can contribute to the sale of a product and can ensure that a product is adequately presented inside its packaging. "The interior in the box ensures that the belt stays in place in the packaging and therefore the belt is presented nicely", says Bas.
Menno of Preston Ability is pleased with the end result. "The packaging of the positioning belt is an excellent example of optimal packaging and both suits our organisation and the Posigo positioning belt well. The product is well protected and neatly presented thanks to the multifunctional interior. Moreover, the packaging is environmentally friendly and can therefore be recycled in its entirety", Menno adds.
